November diaries

November 3rd, 2020

Dear Diary,

Today has been a very normal day, I woke up made breakfast, worked out, logged into my classes but there is one thing in particular that I did that was very different for me to do. Today, Tuesday November 3rd, I took part for the first time and voted in the presidential election because this year I am legal to vote. I thought this day was very important because I got to participate in my government.

Sincerely, Pat Jones

November diaries

Dear Diary,

Today I started my first day of work since me leaving my summer lifeguarding job. At this job I work in fields on a tree farm and do whatever manual labor my boss assigns me to do. It is very hard work, but it comes with benefits during the holidays because they do Christmas trees and I’ll make good tips off of that. The most frustrating thing about this job is I have to wear a mask all day which gets in the way a lot with communication, being comfortable, etc. But in the end, it’s all about others safety and my own.

Sincerely,

Pat Jones

Dear Diary,

Today is thanksgiving it’s not my all-time favorite holiday but it was sad that it was very different this year. Instead of waking up and seeing huge crowds at the Thanksgiving Day parade there was no one watching. Instead of the balloons being pulled by hundreds of people they were being pulled by utility vehicles. It’s weird to see but what was more important is that me and my family got together and celebrated the real meaning of thanksgiving. Being thankful for each other.

Sincerely,

Pat Jones
